The Division of Local Aid is transitioning to the Department’s end-to-end online Project Management Solution: PMRS
This new system will shift most project management, accounting, contracting and other functions from a traditional paper-based model to an electronic, automated system. PMRS provides a platform for online collaboration between Local Public Agencies(LPAs) and NJDOT staff. It enables efficient project management, including automated tasks, an electronic document management system, electronic review and approval, easy project tracking, and monitoring. The new platform will make it easier for everyone involved to track, monitor, and know the status of submissions and projects every step of the way.
“The Department is committed to the use of technology wherever possible to improve the efficiency of our service to our customers. Getting the Local Aid projects on the Project Management and Reporting System (PMRS) platform will help streamline the project delivery process for our Local Public Agencies while providing transparency and flexibility.” - Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, NJDOT Commissioner
Efficient and Customer Friendly
“This is the next logical step in Local Aid’s utilization of technology making our processes more efficient and customer friendly. Paper based grant applications disappeared with the implementation of SAGE (System for Administering Grants Electronically) and now paper based project processes will be converted to an electronic platform in PMRS.” - Michael Russo | Assistant Commissioner, Planning, Multimodal and Grants Administration
What Early Testers Are Saying About PMRS
“I found the PMRS platform to be fairly intuitive and straightforward. The best part of the program is being able to check on the status of the project whenever you want and knowing who to reach out to if process is not moving.” - Daniel J. Loomis, PE, CME, CFM, City Engineer | City of Elizabeth
“….the software is very user friendly…intuitive and easy to pick up… everything required is spelled out for each process.” - James J. Boegly Jr., Consultant, Remington & Vernick Engineers
