Somers Point received a state grant that will improve bike access to Ocean City, officials said. The bike-path grant will improve the Route 52 Causeway that connects 9th Street in Ocean City to Somers Point.

Governor Phil Murphy today announced Transit Village grants totaling $1 million to help five municipalities advance Transit Village projects that will improve quality of life without burdening local property tax payers.

The Murphy Administration today announced the Fiscal Year 2019 Safe Streets to Transit Program (SSTT) grant. The New Jersey Department of Transportation, Division of Local Aid and Economic Development selected five municipal projects that are in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Monmouth and Union Counties totaling $1 million.

A total of 537 cities and towns across the state are receiving grants to advance road, bridge, safety, and quality-of-life improvements in an effort to continue the Department of Transportation’s Commitment to Communities’ efforts.
